Mika felt much more free and happy travelling than being close to his birthplace. It wasn’t home. It never really was, as there was nothing there for him but bitter memories and sadness. Even so, he did felt the need to return sometimes, maybe because Sinnoh was the place where he had started and because there were many things he did enjoyed about the many ruins and cities.
He was making his way to Hearthrome City, when he happened to cross paths with another trainer. He was a bit distracted, and he had always been the clumsy and distracted type, so it was rather often that he bumped into people. But not always did people suddenly went for a fight because of that.
Throwing his eyes to the ground as he heard the other commenting on them, he reached to his own poke-balls as well, not wanting to be caught of guard. His own Mimikyu had moved forward in the meantime, stepping between the stranger and Mika in a defensive manner.
“I ain’t want no trouble, but I won’t pull my punches if you go for it”
While the route stalker in him was raring and ready to go, the budding researcher in him immediately froze at the sight of the Mimikyu, swaying slightly in it’s Pikachu disguise and acting obviously protective.
His heart froze and then his heart melted.
“Aww, what a cutie!” He kneeled down so as to get a better look at the rare Pokemon - well, it wasn’t native to Unova or Sinnoh, and so it was fairly rare? Not rare in the traditional sense, but….
“We can battle later, sure, but wow, where’d you found them! They look to be in excellent condition, for not being regional!” Kyouhei looked up at the trainer, eyes glittering happily.
Awakening due to the noise he was now making, his Superior popped her head over his shoulder, out from under his coat which hid her form unless you were looking for it, and eyed what she saw as a rival trainer with wariness.
Leo watched on as chaos unfolded, oblivious to the fact that he may possibly be the cause of all this commotion. A spark of inspiration suddenly struck him as he watched the explosion happen in mere seconds. An action scene! A fight between the humans and aliens trying to take over the planet! Yes, yes! The inspiration was coming forth!
A surge of motivation came forth and he whipped out his pen and notepad from the pockets of his large hoodie and started scribbling in it. It wasn’t until a pair of eyes looked up at him that he realized there was another person within his vicinity.
When did they get there? Were they a ninja that popped out of the smoke, ready to attack? Of course, Leo was ready to dodge anything that came his way. But the more important question was.
“Who’re you!?”
Any polite or simple words died in his throat at the slightly accusatory tone the other person took, despite this probably being their fault! Kyouhei sat up, snagged his glasses off his face, shoved them into his chest pocket, and pinched his nose for a solid three seconds.
It wasn’t nearly as bad as it could’ve been, so there was at least that, and he could get more cubes, right? Probably. It wasn’t a big deal. As long as no one heard that commotion it would be fine.
“Since you’re the intruder, shouldn’t you introduce yourself first?” Not bothering to stand, Kyouhei merely leaned back so that he could reassess the new person. “Why’d you come in here!?”
He finally managed to get a triangle up and he just leaned back into his seat, just basking in his moment of glory. Success has never felt this good before. The thought that he had many more triangles to make was a fact he pushed out into the corner of his mind for now. He just wanted to feel victorious for a short while longer. “Yeah, it is pretty difficult, I just now managed my first one.”
Sitting up straight once more while letting out a sigh, he didn’t realize that his exhale of air was enough to disrupt his triangle and it toppled over. Throwing his head back, he groaned quietly. “Back to zero.” How long was it going to take to finish off the one this time?
With Kyouhei asking for a ‘solid’, Dongmin looked over quizzically, wondering what it was that he wanted help with. “What’s up? What do you need?” He was ready to help out if it meant he could hold off on trying to make a triangle again. He simply wasn’t ready to have to go through the pain of needing to watch him fail repeatedly over these triangles.
“Do you need me to hold onto your triangles or something?” He asked, now noticing that Kyouhei was holding onto the card that was placed on top of the two triangles he’d made.
“When I see pictures or videos it always looks super easy… but I guess that’s just movie magic.” His conclusion was so mismatched (nonsensical words and an almost comedically stern tone of voice) that Kyouhei actually giggled a little.
The brunet nodded for two beats and shuffled over a little so that Dongmin wouldn’t have to contort in order to reach the two triangles he’d somehow kept up this time.
“Please do! I feel like they’ll stay up as soon as I get the… the roof on them, but they need a little support before I leave them on their own.” Yikes, that sounded a bit too deep for something so simple.
“In other words, give them the spine they deserve.”
[水] - Haha! A beach-y person. That’s one way to term it. He loved being in the water as much as he loved being on the football field.
"I guess you could say that? I love the water. Though I also love the football field. Guess you can consnider me a water giant who plays football, haha!“
There was something much like a beach a distance away, but for someone like Mizumachi, it was always well worth the travel. He just considered it to be something like a fun adventure. Travelling to the beach was nothing compared to taking a flight to the US for the sake of football for the ‘American Football Youth World cup’. That sure was a great time, it was!
It was always a mystery to a lot of people how he could be as energetic as he was. He ate a lot of food as expected of an anthlete and he just practiced very hard, and his body was quite used to working hard every day to break down and build itself to be even stronger. It wasn’t as though they met up every single day for practice so it was a game of balancing time to be honest.
Not to forget that depending on the time of the year it was and the seasons, some clubs would go on break. You can’t expect kids to be swimming in pools in the winter time after all. If the school was blessed to have an indoors pool, it was fine, but not every institution was quite that lucky.
"Nhaaha! Yep! I’m working towards what I want to do. For now I want to continue being an athlete. I don’t plan on quitting just yet. Well, let’s get going! If we stick around too long, it’ll get dark.”
Mizumachi playfully saluted back and he started to lead the way back towards the dorm, going through a different route that Kyouhei took to get here. Mizumachi took different routes all the time to see something new and interesting.
“So sporty things in general interest you?” Swimming and football were the two most sporty activities Kyouhei could imagine, and since Mizumachi looked like he could knock the freshman over with a finger, it wasn’t too hard to imagine him on a field.
… Did that make him the nerd in this situation? Science was a pretty nerdy thing, so it did fit, this metaphorical boot he himself created in that very moment.
Before he could ask, he realized they were talking more about school than sports now, and that they needed to get going. Settling into an easy pace next to Mizumachi was easy, although he had no idea where they were going.
“I’ll probably stick with what I have too.” It wasn’t like he was a risk taker, after all, and he felt like it would be a pain if he started over with another major in mind. “And thanks for taking me back.”
Face flushed from the neck up with just the feel of Avery’s hand in his, Kyouhei did his best to be the most natural walker in the history of walking naturally. Difficult, when he was sincerely concerned that his hands were too sweaty for the action to be comfortable, but he was just barely managing.
He was grateful for the ability to do this, after all. The student was trying his hardest - was going to keep trying his hardest.
Overcome with warm fuzzies, Kyouhei brought the hand holding onto his up to his mouth, pressing a heartfelt kiss there and lingering for a moment before reality came crashing down and he released it with a spluttered apology.
Kyouhei narrows his eyes at the much, much taller male for a moment, actually being forced to consider how to proceed due to the very obvious height difference between them.
Showing his affection, in this case, was more frustrating than embarrassing (although his cheeks were already filling in with pink as he thought more and more about it) but with a little difficulty, he stood on the tips of his toes to press a modest kiss to Kyouya’s cheek.
“There! Now you can’t say I never gave you anything!”
Kyouhei was hiding his barrage of giggles behind one hand, the other tangled up in Izumi’s shirt so that they could walk side by side without thinking too hard about it.
Most of his interactions with the model were a mix of serious and fun - it was just how their personalities mixed - but he was always surprised when he got an honest laugh out of it.
“Hey, hey Sena-chan, slow down a bit!” It was only fitting to give proper thanks, right? He could try to pretend that Izumi wasn’t extremely appealing, that this wasn’t selfish, but honestly….
When he slanted his lips against the model’s, even though it was for a moment, it greatly added to his euphoric state, and he had to pull back quickly so he didn’t outright laugh into the kiss.
Although Kyouhei excelled at giving affection on the fly - a hug here, a back rub there, maybe some hand holding if he felt particularly bold - his power was immediately stripped if he actually thought about doing something before doing it.
Shuffling a little closer to Jyushimatsu before taking a step back again, the brunet wondered for a cold moment if he could just… not do anything. If his affection starved conscious could stand to just hold off on doing anything.
Actually, maybe he should just wing it? With that thought in mind, he leaned down slightly to kiss the yellow-themed Matsu on the forehead, hoping that it would go over well, hands clenched tensely into fists.
“Dongmin, I owe you my life.” Voice intense and eyes almost eerily fixed on his ‘savior’, Kyouhei latched onto the other’s side as soon as he was within grabbing distance, his arms wrapped around Dongmin’s neck in a dramatic pose.
“Do you get me? It’s yours now. My life. Yours.” Tone completely at ease now, he grinned against the other’s cheek before pressing a chaste kiss there, his thankful mentality making an impulsive (brief) appearance. “I really am grateful to you!”
With an almost dreamy sigh, Kyouhei spun in place next to Karamatsu, taking on the appearance of someone fantasizing over a person, place, or thing… when in reality it was more along the lines of him making fun of himself.
“Ah yes, let’s become attracted to every living male in the immediate vicinity, Kyou, great idea Kyou.” He sent the fanciful boy beside him a quirky grin before lifting one hand to his lips and kissing his fingers in an exaggerated manner before blowing the “kiss” at his companion.
“You qualify, Kara! Take one, take many- Ah.” Sheepish at giving into a childish action like that, Kyou pressed his hand to his mouth again. “Sorry, sorry, that was immature of me. Do you want me to take that back?”
